A Good First Day

Yesterday was the first day of school. My boys are growing up so fast. Here is my big third grader wearing his "dyed in the dirt" shirt from Zion.

Then there's my first grader in football attire. It was supposed to be 100 degrees yesterday, the hottest day so far this summer, so I made them both wear shorts. Believe me, they didn't mind at all.

And here they are returning triumphant after a good first day. I went out to watch them come home. I love catching that first glimpse of them three blocks away and knowing they're back safe and sound.





And, just because I couldn't resist, I had to post this photo of Josie. You've got to love French doors for just this reason! OINK!
