Frosted Gingerbread House

I need giant candy canes and peppermint stepping stones. Don't you think this would make the perfect Gingerbread house for Christmas? I realized this last year when my kids were making a gingerbread house with my mom. They placed the windows and doors. It looked just like our house, except back then our house was green. Now it's a nice golden brown.
Also, our little town has some fun (admittedly quirky) traditions. One is that the banks have open houses during the last week of school before Christmas. They serve cookies and punch and invite the high school choirs and the preschools to come caroling. Here is Mazie's preschool class singing at the bank. Notice that they even have a piano. I love this town. I was sitting behind her for most of the caroling, so I had to steal a snapshot when she turned around to smile at me. Such cute little reindeer!

  1. Mazie is so pretty! You need to get some gumdrops on that house! We have got a ton of snow this year too, but our house is not at all like a gingerbread house. See you soon!
