The other day I said to Josie, "Where are you going?"
She said, "Dinky!" (Stinky.) The funny part is that she wasn't stinky. She's just learned that "going" and "stinky" go together. She's so very cute. I guess it makes it worth it when I find her dumping an entire bag of pretzels on the floor and emptying out the garbage cans.
Right now she's sitting behind me with a mixing bowl of left-over popcorn and a big grin on her face. Yesterday she learned to say Mazie's name. Ethan was stalking through the house with a Nerf gun saying, "Mazie! Mazie!" I turned around to hear Josie in her high chair saying, "May-nee!"
I said, "Is that your sister?"
Josie said, "Pretty!" Pretty was one of her first words, and she's always called Mazie "pretty".

I love this age! Watching them figure out and master speech is one of the most fun things about being a parent.

ReplyDeleteMazie is a very pretty little girl. It is always good that the ones getting in trouble are so very cute! We've had so many pretzel bags spilt on purpose, salt everywhere and a big huge smile on the naughty child! Just smile and remember to laugh!

ReplyDeleteI love this age! It was so nice to talk to you the other day, sorry I had to take off. John was in the car and ready to go! As you saw in my post today I have been pretty laid up with some headaches so as soon as they are gone I will get to the book!!!
