Nervous

I'm feeling apprehensive today. Tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. I'm leaving for girls camp. It's my first visit to girls camp EVER, because I joined the church when I was 14 and by the next summer I'd turned 15. Back then, if you hadn't been to girls camp before, you had to start with the first years, so I would have had to go to camp with all the 12 year olds. I said, "No, thank you!" and didn't go. So now, I'm headed to my very first girls camp. I've been in the YW presidency for a whole week, so yeah, I'm very nervous.

P.S. The mosquitoes are especially bad this year-- UUUGH!

  1. It will be so fun and a nice break for you. I loved every year of girls camp as a youth and the 2x I got to go as a leader! It might be a bit of high school all over again though when you watch the girls in their different cliques.

  2. I loved girls camp!! I agree with Megan that it is high school all over again (that part I didn't like), but camp was a chance to really get to know our leaders. We learned so much about them as we went about the camp activities. Have fun!! And I can't wait to hear about your experience as a leader.

  4. I just dropped my twelve year old off this morning at Ensign Camp! She was pretty excited! They don't expect you to stay all week do they? Have fun and watch out for ticks! Did you see that I wrote that you can get those craft beads in a clear bucket at a craft store?

  6. You'll have a great time, and the girls will love having you there with them. Just take along lots of repellant, and you'll be just fine. Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!
